Stopping (Waqf)
Today I will learn how to stop at the end of a word and the stop signs.
When we stop on a word, the last letter rests with a sukoon. A word ending in two fathas ( ـً ) is read with a long "aa" when stopping.
Tip for parents: Show the stop signs in your child’s own mushaf and practise stopping on them.
