Lesson 11 · Tashdeed
Tashdeed (Shaddah)
Today I will learn letters with a shaddah that are said twice.
A letter with a shaddah ( ـّ ) is read twice: first resting (joined to the letter before), then with its vowel: اَبَّ = "ab-ba".
Tip for parents: Press a little on the letter with shaddah. Listen for the "double" sound.
