Madd (Long Pull)
Today I will learn the madd sign that asks for a longer pull.
The wavy madd sign ( ـٓ ) on a long letter means pull the sound longer than a normal long letter. It comes when a hamza ( ء ) or a shaddah / sukoon comes after the long letter.
Tip for parents: How long to pull is taught by the teacher in class. Keep every madd of the same kind the same length.
